Please keep in mind that VRT/DVR resistance as advocated by such people as the late, great John McSweeney is designed specifically for those pursuing the martial arts. A great martial artist, McSweeney was unequivocal when he said that exercises such as the Tiger Moves could entirely replace other forms of progressive resistance exercise.
He didn’t claim that other systems didn’t work; rather, he clearly stated that the VRT/DVR resistance offered profound advantages. Personally, I think one attains a synergistic advantage when other closely related, self resistance exercises are added, such as power flexing and isometrics. But VRT/DVRs resistance alone will do a fine job of developing maximum speed and strength—two vital attributes for any martial artist or wrestler.
Here are two of my favorite clips of Iron Wire action. To state the obvious, the two featured martial artists are doing a form of VRT/DVR exercise:

And here is a great article about John McSweeney. Many of the old hands here have already read it. But it merits reposting, I think.

thanks Royce and muddrunner, the reason though I am well versed in the performance and benfiets recevied from VRT/DVR but during which times I never engaged in any physical matches or contests of a wrestling nature. Ive always done PCs along with them or some type of gravity induced excercise. but Im thinking of going on TM diet for a while and here at the gym we have brazilian jiu-jitsu training/or practice which im not skilled at. and wonderin would my mat potentional suffer off of will power excercise..thanks for your views.

Ive been grappling for over 13 years but have only been doing DVR for less then 1.I definatly see a carryover to not only my grappling but my strikng as well. After doing a routine of them for about a month i felt more springy in my movements and felt that i had better body control.I wouldnt use them exclusivly for martial arts training but they are definatly a good addition to anyones routine.Quite honestly i recived the above mentioned benefits from doing just 1 set of TM each morning.
Other movements that will help your grappling are burpees for explosiveness and gi or towel pullups. In gi JJ alot has to do with gripping.I really like hindu pushups i think that there a great movement for grapplers. One routine i do is pyramid my hindu pu with grasshoppers or moutain climbers,do 1rep of hp followed by 1 of mc then 2 and 2 and so on.Make sure you also get alot of neck work in via bridging and isos. You dont realise how important a strong neck is until you hurt it and then your wishing you would of spent more time training it.
Grappling is a great form of exercise, self deffense and is a very challenging but rewarding sport. With your strength to BW ratio i think your going to excel at it.Just remember that technique rules so resist the urge to muscle your opponets, leave your ego at the door and tap often to improve.
Peace

BK great advice, Randori does resemble DVR exercises, Superbeast you already have the strength and stamina most folks can only dream about, BK is right learn the techniques and you'll be unbeatable. Our University Judo Team Coach did cheat he sought guys from the wrestling team. Our first tournament I'd had one lesson and didn't tie my gi correctly. I used wrestling moves and still got my ippon. Our Japanese Judo Coach was the first guy I couldn't muscle, he was as trickey as a snake. He let us bring our gf's along for tournaments too on the bus.
